摘  要：本文试图从中西文化对比的角度论述英文电影字幕的汉译问题。作者首先阐述了中西文化的不同，然后深入分析对英文电影字幕翻译的特点，采取适当的翻译策略，最后具体探讨了英文电影字幕翻译的方法。作者认为对英文电影字幕翻译的同时应充分考虑地方文化色彩及其特点，从而促进英文电影被更好地理解与接受。该研究对由于不同文化背景引发的翻译问题具有一定的参考价值。

On Translation of English Film Subtitles from
Abstract: This paper attempts to discuss the translation of English film subtitles from the perspective of cultural contrast by meticulously selecting many fresh examples. In the first part, the author would introduce the cultural difference between Chinese and English, and then the author will analyze the features of English film subtitles. At last, we will get to know some specific translation methods of English film subtitles. In order to help Chinese audience to understand English film better, we’d better take all the aspects of cultural factor into consideration when we translate English film subtitles. The research is of great significance to deal with some puzzling problems caused by different cultural background when we translate English film subtitles.
