摘要
发动机使用的节温器主要是蜡式节温器,是由其内部的石蜡通过热胀冷缩原理来控制冷却液循环方式的。当冷却温度低于规定值时,节温器感温体内的精制石蜡呈固态,节温器阀在弹簧的作用下关闭发动机与散热器之间的通道,冷却液经水泵返回发动机,进行发动机内小循环。当冷却液温度达到规定值后,石蜡开始融化逐渐变为液体,体积随之增大并压迫橡胶管使其收缩,在橡胶管收缩的同时对推杆作用以向上的推力,推杆对阀门有向下的反推力使阀门开启。这时冷却液经由散热器和节温器阀,再经水泵流回发动机,进行大循环。节温器大多数布置在汽缸盖出水管路中,这样的优点是结构简单,容易排出冷却系统中的气泡;缺点是节温器在工作时经常开闭,产生振荡现象。
节温器必须保持良好的工作状态,否则会严重影响发动机的正常工作。如节温器开启(这里都是指节温器主阀门)过迟甚至于不能开启,就会引起发动机过热;开启过早,则使发动机预热时间延长,使发动机温度过低。

abstract
The thermostat used by the engine is mainly wax thermostat, which controls the coolant circulation mode by the internal paraffin through the principle of thermal expansion and cold contraction. When the cooling temperature is lower than the specified value, the refined paraffin in the thermostat is solid, the thermostat valve closes the channel between the engine and the radiator under the action of the spring, and the coolant returns to the engine through the water pump for small circulation in the engine. When the coolant temperature reaches the specified value, the paraffin begins to melt and gradually becomes liquid, the volume increases and compresses the rubber pipe to make it shrink. When the rubber pipe shrinks, it acts an upward thrust on the push rod, and the push rod has a downward reverse thrust on the valve to open the valve. At this time, the coolant flows back to the engine through the radiator and thermostat valve and then through the water pump for large circulation. Most of the thermostats are arranged in the outlet pipe of the cylinder head, which has the advantages of simple structure and easy to discharge the bubbles in the cooling system; The disadvantage is that the thermostat is often opened and closed during operation, resulting in oscillation.
The thermostat must be kept in good working condition, otherwise it will seriously affect the normal operation of the engine. If the thermostat is opened too late or even cannot be opened, the engine will overheat; If it is started too early, the engine preheating time will be prolonged and the engine temperature will be too low.
